| I want to show you that even at the age of 47
you can have
ripped abs and a lean, muscular body and I only work out 3 times per
week! Age should not be a barrier as to what you can accomplish and the
way you can look. Rarely do I post photos or videos of myself without a shirt. It’s just not what I do but I wanted to show you my ripped abs at 47. Of course there are many people with better looking abs. There always will be people with more amazing looking abdominals but the point is to be and look the best you possibly can. I feel great and I still feel like I am in the best shape of my life or better. This in turn translates into positive energy and confidence in oneself - you become more motivated, successful in life and you feel a lot healthier. In the above HD video, I am not showing you an abdominal specific exercise. Rather, I am doing a standing barbell bicep curl. The focus of this exercise is all in the biceps with your core and legs providing you with the strength and stability you need to do this exercise. The energy flows upwards to your arms with abs and pelvis tucked in, legs slightly apart and back straight. You don’t want to swing your body up from the pelvis back and forth as you raise and lower the barbell. Your legs and core provide you with that stability. To make your bicep curl exercise more of a full body exercise workout, try doing it with dumbbells while standing on a Bosu ball. What’s my secret to ripped abs and a lean body while in my late forties? It’s a combination of eating properly, regular exercise, taking Omega 3 supplements and drinking green tea. My total body fat percentage most of the time hovers around 8%. My exercise workouts consist of primarily heavy weight training workouts. I work myself to the max by focusing on the exercise at hand. If you push yourself, you will build muscle, definition and at the same time burn excess fat. Plus many weight training exercises engage the core and consequently indirectly work the abdominals. Also, I try to incorporate some full-body exercises that will work the abs even more. I also recommend that you do some outdoor cardio activity for a change of pace, scenery and it’s also good to get some fresh air – clears the mind and soul. As for specific exercises just for the abs, they won’t do much for you until you have shed the belly fat, you will just be building muscle under the fat. I recommend that you focus more on full-body exercises with or without weights to shed belly fat and only after you have toned down you can add abs specific exercises. A couple examples of exercises for the abs that I prefer involve the lying down forward leg presses/extensions and bicycle crunches because they engage more muscles of the abdominals and provide you with more of a cardio workout. This webpage was originally intended to show you that no matter what age you are, you can have ripped abs or a flat tummy. As I was typing, I decided to provide some useful tips to help you lose belly fat. The Truth About Six Pack Abs can help you tone your tummy, lose excess belly fat or get 6 pack abs. |
